Responsibilities:

– Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials according to specifications
– Construct and assemble joinery components such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture
– Install joinery components in buildings or structures
– Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers, painters, and electricians to ensure proper installation and finishing
– Repair or replace damaged joinery components
– Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment while working

Requirements:

– Experience in joinery or a related field
– Proficiency in using hand and power tools
– Knowledge of different types of wood and their properties
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
– Physical fitness for heavy lifting and working at heights
– Attention to detail and precision in measurements and cutting
– Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during installation or repair
– Familiarity with other trades such as plumbing, painting, masonry, or electrical work is a plus

Job Type:

Full-time

Salary:

£27,000.00 per year
