FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
The general aim of [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is to provide high quality, responsive and supportive services to service users in the community, in order that they may reach and maintain maximum independence. This is achieved through individualised care planning.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- To actively promote best practice in care provision including all aspects of care planning activity
- To ensure that the services provided by [Employer hidden] conform to current Essential Standards of Quality and Safety and the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated Regulations.
- To line manage Care Co-ordinator and Care Workers which will include induction, monitoring their care practice, annual appraisals and to recruit.
- To be responsible for staff rotas, arranging cover for absences and maintaining the continuity of the service
- To promote relationships which enable each service user to participate in the life of the local community to the maximum of their ability.
- To be responsible for the H&S of staff
- To liaise with external agencies, families, and service users; and attend meetings as necessary.
- To lead and respond to any complaints about our services.
- To actively market the company to help bring in new business.
- To undertake quotes and negotiations with potential clients – i.e., CCGs, NHS etc
- To ensure that all service users have effective care plans (including risk assessments)
- To produce management reports and weekly data as directed
- To manage, prepare budgets and monthly cashflow reports.
- To be responsible for the monitoring and control of day-to-day expenditure within the limits of the budget or as prescribed
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
- At least two years’ experience in a senior management capacity within the previous five years
- A management qualification or care qualification equivalent to NVQ level 4 in care management
- Sound understanding of good care principles
- Able to take responsibility
- Leadership and negotiating skills
- Self motivated
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Flexible
- Caring with ability to display empathy and warmth
- Sensitive to the needs of others and to the sick or infirm
- An active team player but also able to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Committed to high standards

- Skills in assessment and care planning

Essential attributes
Must have Full Driving Licence.
