Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student or Graduate Engineer for the position of Summer Placement – Building Physics Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support our thermal modelling team in a variety of projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geometric modelling of buildings within a dynamic simulation modelling platform
- Gain experience and knowledge of basic energy and thermal modelling tasks.
- Collaborate with senior members to support in the delivery of key projects.
- Review technical documentation and prepare reports where needed.
- Obtain training in the field of building physics and sustainability.

Qualifications:
- Achieved or working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Building Physics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in building performance simulation software is advantageous (e.g., IESVE, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder).
- Strong technical knowledge of Engineering principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
