FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

Schindler is looking for a Service Technician (Nights) to join their team based out of Northfleet Office but covering London, working a four on, four off night shift basis between 7pm and 7am. The Technician will be experienced in the carry out of planned preventative maintenance regimes and will be responsible for lift equipment improvement, minor repair work and lifecycle component replacement.

    Key Responsibilities/Duties

    • Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures
    • To rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning
    • Checking the lift function as part of maintenance, using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment
    • Carry out the routine inspection, adjustment, of lift installations in accordance with approved procedures.  Reinstate lift and complete service documentation
    • Carrying out fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service
    • All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements
    • Employees must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behaviour at all times
    • Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable)
    • We are looking for an experienced Technician to meet the high levels of service expected from our client

    Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

    • Proven experience in Lift Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs, must have call out experience
    • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent minimum in Lift maintenance
    • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
    • Flexibility
    • Good problem solving skills
    • Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Service Management/LU Inspectors)
    • Full UK driving Licence

    Service Technician-Nights

    We are looking to recruit a Service Technician (Nights) to join our Team based out of our Northfleet Office but covering London, working on a four on, four off night shift basis between 7pm and 7am for one of our Clients in London. The Technician will be experienced in the carry out of planned preventative maintenance regimes as determined by the contract terms to our portfolio of lift equipment, improvement of equipment condition to improve the time between technical callbacks and reduce lift equipment downtime. Works will also include minor repair work and the lifecycle replacement of components and adherence to all company safety and conduct procedures. This is a full time and permanent role.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
