FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Machinist to join our team, we are an expanding UK based world leader in manufacturing Heat Exchangers, with our core strengths being quality and flexibility. We are seeking a highly motivated individual ideally from a high precision CNC machining industry, the candidate will be operating Doosan, Haas, Brother and Harrison machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience on operation and setting of 4 axis milling CNC Machines.
  • Fanuc and/or Siemens Programming background
  • Capable of using measuring equipment
  • The ability to understand and modify, if required, programs on milling machining centres.
  • A good knowledge of cutting data to machine aluminium, stainless steel, cast iron, brass.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of machinery within a machine shop, experience of manufacturing precision parts to tight tolerances on CNC machines, lathes and millers
  • Ideally have experience of both turning and milling
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive team player
  • Must be seeking a hands-on role
  • Strong knowledge of measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
  • Must be able to set and operate the machines
  • Knowledge of TPM programs an advantage
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment
  • Maintain a safe working environment ensuring all company procedures are followed
  • Commitment, dedication, willingness and a positive attitude are a must

Education and experience:

  • CNC setting experience is essential (Fanuc and/or Siemens controls)
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing (TPM, 5S, ETC)
  • General computer skills
