Summary
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]’s Russell Churcher Court is a residential care home, specialising in high quality care for the frail elderly and those living with dementia. We seek a compassionate and enthusiastic Care Assistant to join our happy, highly professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents who may require help with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, food preparation and serving, laundry, shopping etc.
- Assist in teaching/maintaining skills of residents to promote independence.
- Participate in planning the care for, and the review of, individual residents as appropriate.
- Have due regard to residents’ well being, privacy, dignity, freedom of choice, physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs.
- Assist in the organising and the execution of entertainment, both in-house and external, for the residents and encourage their participation in local activities where appropriate.
- Liaise with senior staff to ensure a high standard of care is maintained at all times.
- Ensure all procedures and instructions in relation to Health & Safety are carried out properly and efficiently.
- Report on accidents, illness and defects within the building and surrounds to the senior person on duty.
