Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Perform equipment repair, including the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Assemble and disassemble various vehicle components for repairs and inspections.
- Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance on HGVs as required.
- Weld components when necessary to ensure structural integrity.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Core Requirements:
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations.
# HGV Technician job in Boston
Join a successful, driven team in a busy workshop with plenty of progression opportunities.
Earlies/Lates shift from £17.00 - £19.00 ph + overtime rates for extra hours worked (depending on experience)
Nights (4 on, 3 off) from £23 per hour +overtime rates for extra hours worked (depending on experience)
Shift Available - Earlies / Lates
Earlies Week 1: Monday – Friday Hours: 06:00 – 14:30
Lates Week 2: Monday – Friday Hours 13:30 - 22:00 (Saturday morning on late shift 06:00 - 12:00)
Night Shift (4 on, 3 off): Monday - Friday 20:00 - 06:30

### Preferred Qualifications
- C&G, NVQ 3 or equivalent
- HGV Technician : 3 years
- Time-served Technicians also considered
