Summary
As a Residential Support Worker at Aston, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for children and young people with learning disabilities. You will work closely with residents, providing care, support, and encouragement in a warm and welcoming home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offering individualised care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Encouraging and facilitating the development of life skills and independence among residents.
- Maintaining a safe and clean-living environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborating with the care team to implement and monitor individual care plans.
- Assisting young people in accessing educational opportunities and supporting their learning and development.
- Establishing and maintaining positive and respectful relationships with children, their families, and external professionals.
- Keeping accurate records and recording any incidents, following company policies.
- Responding to crisis situations calmly and effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of children and staff.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
