FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

The helicopter B1.3 Engineer is responsible for the maintenance (line/base) of the helicopters. He/she works in a team of engineers and reports to the Chief Engineer.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations;
  • Ensure that all line maintenance tasks carried out to helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions;
  • Ensure, together with all Engineers, a variable & flexible work planning & work roster based on business needs that supports & realizes business continuity;
  • Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of a serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
  • Ensure, based on pilot & all other relevant information, daily problem analysis & problem solving;
  • Ensure briefing & debriefing of pilots and Chief Engineer;
  • Ensure that PRF (preflight check) is performed;
  • Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & support services that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment: material in service car, consumables, limited service stock, work material, material needed for normal day-to-day line maintenance, exceptional material supplied for exceptional line maintenance or small repair tasks;
  • Report daily on the maintenance situation to the Chief Engineer.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 License
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aviation and as a licensed engineer is preferred
  • ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office)
  • Languages: English (professional level)

  • Ensure, together with all Engineers, a variable & flexible work planning & work roster based on business needs that supports & realizes business continuity;
  • Ensure that all maintenance is completed within the appropriate time scales to ensure provision of serviceable aircraft to meet the operational need;
  • Ensure briefing & debriefing of the Chief Engineer; Report daily on the maintenance situation; Inform and update the Chief Engineer on the maintenance situation;
  • Ensure, in cooperation with NHV Supply Chain, Store & support services that the necessary maintenance material & spare parts are present on site at the planned moment.
  • Participate in the daily morning Chief Engineer’s briefing (toolbox meeting).

Skills & Experience

  • ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office)
  • Languages: English (professional level)
  • Knows & operates by the procedure and processes (operational, quality, safety …) installed by the company
  • Good communicator:
  • debriefing to pilots, flight crew and Chief Engineer
  • handover of work from/to previous/next shift
  • Able to work independently when performing in a less controlled environment and to take initiative to improve work and complete tasks within appropriate time scales
  • Logical thinking
  • UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 License
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aviation and as a licensed engineer is preferred
  • Engineering experience in different aviation companies is a plus
