FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

Prepare balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports. Accountant duties and responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports the organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
  • Responsible for the preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: AP & AR process, GL, account reconciliation, etc.)
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
  • Support forecasting and budgeting exercises as per corporate guidelines
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and local tax and government authorities where required
  • Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirements (GST/WHT/CIT/…), audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal
  • Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.

Job Details

It may require a bachelor's degree in accounting or an area of specialty and two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area. Accounting candidates must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Work under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
