Summary
The GTW Developer will work with the GWT team to implement new functionality in the product and to keep the system up to date with the newest GWT technology. The ideal candidate will have hands-on commercial experience of delivering high quality solutions in a team environment, with in-depth knowledge of both Java and frameworks, and experience with GWT.
Key Responsibilities/Duties: Work with the GWT team to implement new functionality and keep the system updated.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills: Experience with GWT, Java, SVN, Jenkins, Agile environment, and JIRA.

Our Client is a successful global player in a highly competitive and fast-moving industry. And, with multiple award-winning brands, e-commerce and the internet are integral to maintaining our leading position. One of their in-house projects is a GWT solution that has recently been released for use in their offices around the world. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, creative and highly productive quality-driven professional to join an agile team supporting this product.The company uses SVN for source control and Jenkins to run continuous builds. They automatically deploy to a local development server daily so that their dedicated QA team can test what we build the following day. We use JIRA to monitor our progress but we rely more on their Kanban boards for daily information. The successful candidate’s responsibility will be to work with the GWT team to implement new functionality in the product and to keep the system up to date with the newest GWT technology where possible.
Experience working within an agile environment is preferred. You should have hands-on commercial experience of delivering high quality solutions in a team environment. We are looking for a mid to senior level developer and you will be expected to write code in the interview that reflects your in-depth knowledge of both Java and frameworks. Since your primary technology will be GWT you should have experience with GWT. More than this, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator, with both technical and non-technical staff, and a whole-hearted team player. A fast learner, you’re not afraid to contribute fresh ideas, challenge the norm and champion positive change. An upbeat attitude and strong sense of humour will also serve you well.
