FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

A Senior Marine Operations Engineer with a strong Installation background is required to work on an initial 12 month contract basis that will provide a longevity beyond this. The role will be outside IR35 and ill therefore offer a fully remote working set up. An Installation Engineer is required as part of the Naval and Marine Operation Team to support company activities worldwide on different projects and provide technical leadership within the naval and marine operation discipline.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Supporting follow-up, engineering review and monitoring of currently ongoing projects for new floating LNG facilities, FPSO, fixed platforms, pipelines, umbilicals, flexible lines and subsea structures T&I activities.
  • Preparing T&I Scope of Works, Technical specifications for Installation and Pre-commissioning, External Interface and Responsibility Matrix, Installation Schedules for fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, floaters and subsea structures installation.
  • Identification of marine spread minimum requirements for a successful and safe installation of offshore structures.
  • Preparation of installation outline procedures to be provided as reference for T&I Tenderers for technical and commercial quotation.
  • Monitoring, follow-on and review execution projects installation engineering.
  • Aiding the Company during Technical Clarification meetings, projects HAZID, Offshore Site Queries and Offshore
  • Management of Change.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

  • Candidate must have specific skills sets in the offshore installation engineering, in particular relevant to the design and follow-up of installation engineering documentation such as load-out, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-up of fixed platforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, subsea structures and floaters (FPSO, FLNG, etc...).
  • High knowledge in technologies, vessels and equipment used for loading, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-up of subsea and offshore structures is required.
  • High skills and experience on preparation and review of T&I ITT packages, manage technical clarification with installation bidders and preparation of Tender Bidder Evaluations.
  • Knowledge of offshore installation international Rules, e.g. DNV, IMCA, etc... as applicable to installation of offshore structures is required for this position.
  • Significant experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPCI of T&I projects and ability to interface with other disciplines such as naval, structural, construction & commissioning disciplines would be a major advantage for this position.
  • Seagoing experience as Installation Contractor Project Operation Engineer and/or Company Representative for the offshore installation and pre-commissioning of fixed platform, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO, FLNG and subsea structures.
  • Yard experience in offshore structures preparation for the installation, mechanical completion and load-out would be a major advantage for this position.
  • Experience in active participation on project’s HAZID is required.
  • OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable.
