Summary
A Senior Compensation Specialist is required to work on an initial 2 – 3 year contract that will be based from anywhere in Europe on a fully remote working set up. As the Senior Compensation Specialist, you will have an extensive background within job architecture and ideally you will speak a second language alongside English but this isn’t essential.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Lead EMEA-wide job architecture and grading initiatives
- Clarify role definitions and hierarchies through internal calibration reviews.
- Collaborate with the wider team to develop comprehensive job descriptions
- Identify opportunities for role consolidation while considering business unit specifics and potential implementation challenges.
- Facilitate the implementation of organisational changes
- Manage the transition process and ensure effective communication across the business.
- Maintain regular communication with local teams, providing progress updates and coordinating data management efforts in SuccessFactors.
- Support the implementation of strategic initiatives such as pay equity
- Ensure compliance with diverse regulatory requirements and assisting with related regional projects.
- Provide high-level consulting support to HR and management on compensation matters, including overseeing annual compensation and benefits processes.
- Guide discussions with HR and business leadership on project progress and alignment
- Prepare and present supporting materials for all interactions.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Solid experience in compensation program planning and administration
- Advanced user of data analysis and presentation tools
- Proficient in HRIS systems and compensation tools
- Expert in job architecture and grading methodologies
- Familiar with job architecture and compensation methodologies such as Willis Towers Watson, or knowledgeable in similar job levelling methodologies and global grading systems
- Excellent communicator and project manager
- Adaptable professional with experience working across diverse cultures and legal environments
- Comfortable with working remotely; able to self-manage
- Fluent in English - additional European languages would be useful
Role
Senior Compensation Specialist
Fully remote working from anywhere in Europe
2 – 3 Year contract with an option for the role to then become permanent staff
Inside IR35 if based in UK, LTD company available for roles outside of UK

Aim of the role
- Head up job architecture and grading projects, ensuring clarity and consistency across ~3000 global roles
- As the Senior Compensation Specialist, you will collaborate with managers to refine job descriptions, harmonising the roles where possible
- Drive change management and implementation of new structures
- Lead data management efforts in our HR Management System, SuccessFactors
- Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders and SLT
- Contribute to pay equity initiatives
- Engage with HR and business leaders across Europe to drive alignment and present strategic insights
