Summary

Xeinadin is seeking a skilled and client-focused Audit Senior to join their expanding team in Sittingbourne. The Audit Senior will lead audit assignments, ensure compliance, build client relationships, and mentor junior team members. The role requires a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) with strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Ensure audit files contain all necessary documentation, properly organised in the appropriate sections.
  • Analyse accounting data from client records, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory, internal audit methodology, and risk management requirements.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
  • Identify and understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and executing them effectively.
  • Address client queries promptly and professionally, promoting loyalty and trust.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, answering questions and ensuring high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver accurate and timely client files and audits.
  • Deliver client work in adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and review client documents, including accounts, tax filings, PAYE, and VAT submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines and prepare work for sign-off.
  • Drive efficiency and quality by utilising best practices and leveraging available tools and technology.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

  • The successfully appointed individual will be a qualified practice accountant (ACCA/ACA).
  • Experience in managing and/or mentoring junior members of a practice team, with a focus on driving results and exceeding expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Previous experience in audit within a practice environment is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Dependable, professional, and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
