FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Registered Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Registered Nurses and the wider care and anxillary team, developing and updating policy in accordance with current regulations and managing patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for nursing, excellent people skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and support staff
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards of care
  • Providing guidance and support to staff on clinical issues and ensuring effective communication between staff, residents, and families
  • Developing and implementing care plans for residents in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all documentation is up to date
  • Participating in the recruitment and training of staff
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures for the care home
  • Deal tactfully with patients and/or their families when making decisions affecting the patient’s care.
  • Act as liaison between outside nursing staff, doctors and hospital departments.
  • Train nurses, care assistants, and anxillary staff in work responsibilities, safety rules, techniques and procedures.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
  • Proven experience in a management role within a care home setting
  • Good knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care and support to residents
