Summary
A Domino’s Pizza Driver (Safe Delivery Specialist) is responsible for delivering products safely. Drivers also handle in-store duties like answering phones, folding boxes, and stocking the makeline. This role requires excellent customer service skills, safe driving practices, cash handling accuracy, and teamwork.

Customer Service
- Project a positive image to the customer
- Be polite and courteous at all times
- Impress every customer
- Ability to handle customer concerns
Safe Delivery Procedures
- Deliver product safely and securely, avoiding unnecessary risks by adhering to all Safety and Security Policies
- Keep vehicles clean, road worthy and in a safe, well maintained condition
- Complete vehicle checklist at the beginning of every shift
- Follow cash drop procedures at the end of every delivery
- Drive safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws and always adhere to the Highway Code
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures
- Follow late delivery procedures
- Call times “out of the door” / to the customer door
- Wear full uniform at all times and protective clothing when required in line with the image standards
- Know the delivery area
- Be able to read a map
- Demonstrate smart hustle
Cash Handling
- Make accurate cash and/or card transactions in accordance with laid down procedures
Team Work
- Display a spirit of co-operation, teamwork and Hustle
- To immediately inform your manager of any problems
- To assist with in-store jobs when available to do so (eg. answer phones/fold boxes)
- To prepare food for the make-line and assist in re-stocking
- Other related duties as required e.g. leafleting and cleaning
- Help maintain a clean and hygienic store

Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Competencies:
- Able to work quickly, and to “hustle positively” during the busy period (“rush”)
- Able to accurately handle orders, cash and card transactions
- Able to communicate verbally, to be understood and the ability to remain courteous and polite at all times
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, basic keyboard skills
- Experience in a service environment is essential and previous experience in a casual dining environment would be an advantage
Additional Information
- This role involves standing, lifting, carrying, reaching and other physical demands
- The work conditions can often incur extreme temperatures during winter and summer with the heat from the oven and the coolness from the walk in fridge, coupled with outdoor activities such as refuse disposal, deliveries and cleaning windows.
- Individuals will be exposed to cornmeal dust
- Other tasks involve hand tasks and include shaping pizza dough, pinching and folding boxes, use of peel to extract products from oven, cutting pizza with a wheel
- The work is repetitive and can be pressurised during busy periods
- All individuals must be able to take an order that involves talking and hearing over the phone or face to face
