Summary

An Additive Manufacturing Engineer is sought to join our client's team within the Buckinghamshire region. This role involves supporting the production of 3D printed prototypes and products in polymer materials. You will be managing the 3D printing process and overseeing client projects from the initial stage through to the final delivery of parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end additive manufacturing process (setup, materials, build platforms).
  • Perform hands-on post-processing (support removal, finishing).
  • Assess designs for printability and suggest modifications.
  • Prepare print-ready digital files with support structures.
  • Organise project timelines and allocate machine time.
  • Primary client contact throughout projects.
  • Assist with quality control (measurement, inspection).

Core Requirements:

  • 3D CAD software proficiency.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong teamwork and hands-on skills.
  • Excellent communication.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Plastics additive manufacturing experience (advantageous such as SLA, SLS etc).
  • 2+ years engineering experience (preferred).
  • Project management familiarity (plus).
  • Must be based in the UK and have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
