FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our team in Sheffield on a full time permanent basis. The purpose of a Transport Coordinator is to effectively plan driver and vehicle resources to achieve delivery/collection times, whilst optimising resources and adhering to WTF and driver’s hours’ legislation.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Creating and updating daily run summary in order to achieve delivery and collection deadlines.
  • Ensuring that service levels are achieved and maintained, in conjunction with other departments.
  • Using the Driver rota, planning runs according to shift pattern and available hours, taking into account holidays and sickness.
  • Ensuring legal compliance regarding any defects, services, MOT’s, etc.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with drivers; communicating accurate start times, load information, directions, additional shifts, etc.
  • Ensuring adherence to all statutory and legal requirements, as well as all health and safety/safe systems of work policies.
  • Assisting with disciplinary hearings, return to work meetings, substance misuse procedures, etc in order to maintain standards and ensure that employees work at an appropriate level.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join our team in Sheffield on a full time permanent basis.

Salary:£26,580 per annum, plus £2,000 shift allowance, plus £1,000 night allowance.

Working hours:4 on 4 off, 6pm-6am.
