Summary
Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of diverse fleet of vehicles and trailers. Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation. Overhaul electrical equipment and components. Welding and metal working. Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation. Parts ordering and stores management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of diverse fleet of vehicles and trailers
- Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
- Overhaul electrical equipment and components
- Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
- Welding and metal working
- Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation
- Parts ordering and stores management
- Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
- Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs
- Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
- Other work within normal grade/job skills as required
- Ad-hoc duties as required
- Health and safety at work and workshop cleanliness is of paramount importance
