Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Managing and maintaining servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime
  • Monitoring system performance, performing regular backups, and ensuring disaster recovery readiness
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.) and hardware
  • Managing system security, applying patches, and handling firewalls and antivirus solutions
  • Supporting users with IT issues, system access, and other related technical problems
  • Automating system tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
  • Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes
  • Collaborating with the IT team to improve processes and implement system upgrades
  • Ensuring compliance with IT policies, security standards, and industry regulations

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role
  • Strong knowledge of server and network management (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Familiarity with system monitoring and automation tools (e.g., Nagios, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently
  • Solid understanding of system security, backup solutions, and disaster recovery
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus
  • A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
