Summary
The AI Governance Specialist will develop and enforce AI governance frameworks, collaborate with various teams to ensure responsible AI deployment, conduct risk assessments, monitor compliance with data privacy laws, and advise on explainability and bias mitigation practices.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Developing and enforcing AI governance frameworks aligned with ethical and regulatory standards
- Collaborating with legal, compliance, and data teams to ensure responsible AI deployment
- Conducting risk assessments and audits for AI/ML systems
- Monitoring compliance with data privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, AI Act) and internal policies
- Advising on explainability, bias mitigation, and model transparency practices
- Supporting internal education and awareness of responsible AI development
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience in AI governance, tech policy, compliance, or data ethics
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g. EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO standards for AI)
- Familiarity with machine learning and its operational lifecycle
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive governance initiatives
- Degree in Law, Ethics, AI, Data Governance, or a related discipline
