FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
The Cellar Assistant will be responsible for carrying out all post-production work planned and will be overseen by the Cellar Supervisor. They will assist in keeping all production activities safe, qualitative and finished within timescales provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting disgorging operations
- Assisting all labelling operations, by hand or machine
- Assisting the reception of goods and dispatch of orders
- Keeping the equipment clean and serviceable
- Keeping the cellar tidy
- Assisting in keeping the workplace a safe working environment
- Assisting in maintaining appropriate records
- Assisting with Bottling and Harvest
- Assisting the Cellar Supervisor with inventory movements and reconciliation.
Key Requirements
- A reasonable level of spoken and written English
- Previous experience in a winery and cellar not essential but favourable
- Forklift licence an advantage
- Driving licence ideal due to the location
- Self-motivated and well organised
- Reliable
- Attention to detail.
Reporting to: Post-production manager, Cellar Supervisor and Winemakers.
Working with: Cellar Supervisor, Cellar Assistant, Winery Assistant, Agency workers.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm with flat rate overtime during bottling / harvest / as required to the business needs.
