Summary
Mendip Activity Centre is seeking Freelance Outdoor Instructors to work in the Mendip Hills National Landscape. The role involves working with a varied and challenging programme, requiring positive attitude, professionalism, strong communication, and presentation skills. The role is primarily available in May, June and July.
- Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) / Single Pitch Award (SPA)
- Paddlesport Instructor or Paddlesport Leader

Job: Freelance Outdoor Instructor
Location: Mendip Hills National Landscape, near Bristol.
Dates: Primarily May, June, July. Other dates available.
Salary: Standard day rate is £150.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
To work for us, you will possess at least one of the following:
- Rock Climbing Instructor (RCI) / Single Pitch Award (SPA)
- Paddlesport Instructor or Paddlesport Leader
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- BCA - LCLA L1 – ideally with Mendip/South Wales caves - Ski/Board qualification such as BASI L1 / SSE L1 + - DofE Supervisor/Assessor - NRSA - ArcheryGB Leader - D1 Licence + CPC - Walking qualification - Knowledge of team development and initiative exercises - Bushcraft experience - MT RCDI - BC - Canoe Leader, Kayak Leader, SUP Inland Open Water Leader. PSI, PSL, FSRT Provider - BCA – LCLA L2
