FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
An exciting opportunity for an Event Manager to join a dynamic, industry-leading events company, responsible for the logistics of medium-sized events and Connect events. The role involves pre-event correspondence, managing expenditure, supplier relationships, event collateral, and onsite event teams, with a focus on exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Pre-event correspondence with delegates, speakers and sponsors
- Managing outgoing expenditure and submitting accurate forecasts
- Negotiating, liaising and managing relationships with event venues and suppliers
- Creating and designing event collateral, signage and exhibition floor plans
- Sourcing branded items – gifts, lanyards, sponsorship inventory etc
- Managing dinners, cocktail receptions and bespoke networking events
- Organising staff travel and accommodation
- Managing onsite event teams and event registration
- Managing partnering system of Connect events
- Accurately managing rooming lists and dinner lists for Connect events
- Providing an exceptionally high level of customer service in all interactions and exceeding clients’ expectation
Core Requirements include:
- Experience in the coordination of b2b events for at least 200 people
- Experience in managing exhibitions
- Good Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent time management skills
