Summary
You will play a key role in leading the growth and development of our packaging strategy offer to private sector clients. This will include client relationship development and management, proposition development, bid management and leadership across projects, alongside training and mentoring of staff.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Commercial experience – business development / client development and relationship management in the private sector and writing competitive tenders.
- Strong track record of income generation and winning client work.
- Educated to at least degree level or equivalent in a relevant field such as engineering, environmental science, policy or similar.
- Relevant background, including experience working in a similar role either within a consultancy, or consumer brand/ FMCG companies.
- Demonstrable experience of strong verbal and written communication skills including technical report writing.
- Capability to lead technical research and stakeholder engagement in a corporate setting.
- Experienced in quantitative data methods and analysis to support communication environmental and financial impacts and outcomes.
Job Description
You will play a key role in leading the growth and development of our packaging strategy offer to private sector clients, spanning sectors including consumer goods, retailers, packaging manufacturers and convertors and logistics providers. This will include client relationship development and management, proposition development, bid management and leadership across projects, alongside training and mentoring of staff. In addition to building out Eunomia’s packaging strategy offer, the role will also offer flexibility to support the growth and development of our wider service lines and products.
You will work alongside colleagues to deliver projects that meet clients’ needs. You need to be able to work as part of small teams, have excellent interpersonal skills, be an excellent communicator and be comfortable in engaging senior business stakeholders.
You will share our commitment and enthusiasm in delivering high quality work, as well as being able to demonstrate a personal commitment to tackling environmental and sustainability issues.
Essential Criteria

Desirable Criteria
- Educated to higher degree level, including MSc, MEng or equivalent.
- Knowledge of packaging concept design/eco-design, including design for recycling guidelines.
- Understand of the plastics/packaging policy, regulatory and legislative landscape at European and/or international level.
Note: we are not looking for a candidate with all of these skills and experiences. There are multiple specialisms available through this post, and we are interested in hearing from candidates that showcase a set of these criteria.
