Summary

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is a fast-growing event ticketing start-up. We build technology that allows anyone to create, share, find and attend events of all kinds. This Accountant role involves reconciling Xero, creating monthly management accounts, assisting with annual accounts & R&D Tax return, managing payouts, and liaising with financial gateways. The ideal candidate will have experience in an SME environment, proficiency in Excel and Xero, and strong communication skills.

  • Reconcile Xero and create monthly management accounts
  • Work with our accountants to put together annual accounts & RnD Tax return
  • Payout event organisers, suppliers and manage payroll
  • Liaise with financial gateways, banks, merchant bank

HOURS:

3 days per week

PAY:

£30,000 (Pro Rata Equivalent)

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reconcile Xero and create monthly management accounts
  • Work with our accountants to put together annual accounts & RnD Tax return
  • Payout event organisers, suppliers and manage payroll
  • Liaise with financial gateways, banks, merchant bank

THE SKILL SET

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a technical or finance-related field (prefered but not essential)
  • A good level of technical experience within an SME
  • Experience with Excel and managing raw data
  • Experience with Xero (or equivalent accountancy software)
  • Highly numerate and an eye for detail
  • Excellent verbal communications and ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators
  • A mindset for optimising and automating processes
  • A polite and upbeat manner
