Summary

Serve as an Agile Expert who is responsible and drives the team to deliver releases, engaging stakeholders, contributors, and technical resources to get stuff done. Contribute and drive the team to Agile Maturity goals and DEV OPS goals. Work within the core delivery team empowered/tasked with design, development, modification and implementation of computer applications and building high performing delivery teams.

  • Engage stakeholders, contributors, and technical resources to get stuff done.
  • Contribute and drive the team to Agile Maturity goals and DEV OPS goals.
  • Work within the core delivery team empowered/tasked with design, development, modification and implementation of computer applications and building high performing delivery teams.

Core Qualifications:

  • Experience leading Agile Scrum teams/serving as a Scrum Master in a Large Scale enterprise environment.
  • Experience in key agile techniques including SAFe, Kanban, Lean, XP, and Scrum
  • Experience with relevant Agile tools for handling work such as JIRA, Confluence, Version One, Rally, Azure DevOps and understanding and believe that tools are enablers to agile whilst also using information radiators
  • Must be able to work with other teams across the organization that do not have agile practices or operate in more legacy workflows (i.e., waterfall or ticket based/shared services)

Duties

- Serve as an Agile Expert who is responsible and drives the team to deliver releases.

- Engage stakeholders, contributors, and technical resources to get stuff done.

- Contribute and drive the team to Agile Maturity goals and DEV OPS goals.

- Work within the core delivery team empowered/tasked with design, development, modification and implementation of computer applications and building high performing delivery teams.

- Supports Release Train Engineers, Product & Tech Teams to remove impediments and manage dependencies for delivery

- Integrates Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work productsInnovates with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery

- Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders.

- Represent the team daily at the Scrum of Scrums (S2) meeting to report impediments for escalation.

- Facilitate scrum ceremonies for the team (Daily Stand-up, Planning, Retrospective, Grooming & Review/Demo).

- Facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost-effective manner.

- Track and produce key metrics (e.g., burndown, burnup, cumulative flow, velocity, etc.)

- Actively seeks and participates in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training, and independent study to further develop self and community

Qualifications

- Experience leading Agile Scrum teams/serving as a Scrum Master in a Large Scale enterprise environment.

- Experience in key agile techniques including SAFe, Kanban, Lean, XP, and Scrum

- Experience with relevant Agile tools for handling work such as JIRA, Confluence, Version One, Rally, Azure DevOps and understanding and believe that tools are enablers to agile whilst also using information radiators

- Must be able to work with other teams across the organization that do not have agile practices or operate in more legacy workflows (i.e., waterfall or ticket based/shared services)

- Experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing and Agile Games

- Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g., numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)

- Strong negotiation and influencing skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.

- First level Scrum Master certifications preferred.
