FULL DESCRIPTION

Summary

Field Engineers are being recruited to support the worldwide Operations team, based in Aberdeen but traveling to global operational sites. The role involves liaising with clients, preparing equipment and procedures, conducting inspections, operating equipment, and reporting system status.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Liaise with clients, design system for job per client request.
  • Prepare lists of equipment, systems diagrams and procedures for running job.
  • Conduct pre-job equipment inspection in accordance with Metrol Quality and Safety procedures.
  • Conduct and record site tool box talk and attend local safety meetings as needed.
  • Test, configure, run and operate equipment in accordance with agreed program and in line with Metrol Quality and Safety procedures.
  • Report system status to Metrol Operations Management on a regular basis.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

  • Operational understanding of well testing operations and engineering.
  • Conversant with HSEQ systems, and general well site safety procedures and standards.
  • Offshore Survival Certificate
  • MIST (Minimum Industry Standard Training)

The Role:

As part of our ongoing growth, we are actively recruiting Field Engineers to support the world-wide Operations team. The successful candidates will be based at our Aberdeen HQ but will travel to any of Metrol’s world-wide operational sites.

Main Duties:

Pre-Job:

  • Liaise with clients, design system for job per client request.
  • Prepare lists of equipment, systems diagrams and procedures for running job.
  • As required, assist in packing & preparing equipment for shipping.
  • Assist in preparation of QA documentation package including all equipment certification, risk assessments etc., ensuring equipment and procedures are fit for purpose and meet required Metrol/Client/Industry standards.

At Location:

  • Conduct pre-job equipment inspection in accordance with Metrol Quality and Safety procedures.
  • Liaise with client site representative and confirm operations program.
  • Conduct site safety inspection based on current procedures and report any adverse findings to Metrol and location management.
  • Conduct and record site tool box talk and attend local safety meetings as needed.
  • Conduct additional crew in-service training as necessary.
  • Test, configure, run and operate equipment in accordance with agreed program and in line with Metrol Quality and Safety procedures.
  • Report system status to Metrol Operations Management on a regular basis.
  • Present field report and service ticket to client.
  • Prepare and package equipment for back-shipment/storage.

Post Job:

  • Prepare final report for Client.
  • Complete job end reporting QA for Metrol archiving.
  • Advise on equipment failures and problems to management and client as necessary.

General:

  • Ensure that all local and Metrol Safety procedures are adhered to at all times at all locations.

  • Take part in internal and external training, seminars and client meetings as required.
  • Carry out specific work-related tasks for Operations & Technical departments.
  • Ensure personal training, personal certification and travel documentation is up-to-date.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Operational understanding of well testing operations and engineering.
  • Extensive training given in running and maintaining a variety of main Metrol systems.
  • Conversant with HSEQ systems, and general well site safety procedures and standards.
  • Offshore Survival Certificate
  • MIST (Minimum Industry Standard Training)

Our Main Office is in the Kirkhill Industrial estate in Dyce, Aberdeen.
