Summary
The FP&A Manager will assist with strategic and financial planning, including forecasts and budgets. They will run and refine financial models, provide financial insights, support strategic growth projects, and assist in driving the FP&A function. The role requires a Chartered Accountancy qualification or CFA and experience in an analytical role within the Banking sector. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Business Planning - assist with the strategic and financial planning processes including, rolling forecasts, annual budgets and the long-term strategic plan.
- Financial Modelling - Running and refining existing financial models to ensure forecasts capture relevant data efficiently and accurately.
- Decision support - Help key stakeholders gain deep financial insights into the business by analysing complex data sets and rapidly translating results in a meaningful manner. This includes owning the BAU deliverables.
- Business cases and strategic projects - act as a strategic finance business partner for strategic growth projects and other special projects.
- Assist in driving the FP&A Function
- Provide the CFO with support on ad-hoc analysis and other reporting requirements.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACA/CA etc.) or CFA
- 4-6 years’ experience working in an analytical role with strong financial accounting knowledge preferably within the Banking sector
- Possess an analytical mind-set to take a logical and data-driven approach to any task, even if it is something you have never done before.
- Strong quantitative and technical skills including data analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to influence senior stakeholders across the bank
- Ability to work autonomously in a team with a flat structure
