Summary

As a CNC machine manufacturer, Fabertec is seeking a Head of CNC Operations to oversee all aspects of their cutting, prototyping, and sample department. This role involves managing inquiries, providing samples, designing cutting operations, testing new cutting bits, and optimizing machine performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CNC routers, fiber lasers, CAD/CAM software, and a strong understanding of materials and pricing. They will also need to be able to price orders accurately, and have outgoing approach and client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Overseeing the CNC cutting/prototyping/sample department.
  • Providing samples for clients
  • Designing complex cutting operations
  • Testing new cutting bits and optimizing machine performance
  • Accurately pricing orders.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills

  • Practical 4-5 years knowledge of running CNC routers and fiber lasers.
  • Very good skills in CAD/CAM software like Vcarve Pro, Aspire, Fusion 360, Cabinetry design software, and Autocad.
  • Experience in different types of materials, wood-based boards mfc/mdf/timber, plastic sheets, metal sheets.
  • Experienced in office software like Excel, Word, PDF, Quotations.
  • Ability to “create” anything from the drawings on CNC machines.
  • Ability to accurately price orders per piece, time on machine, overheads.
  • Client outgoing approach. Calls, emails, negotiating.

Requirements From Candidate:

  • Practical min 4-5 years knowledge of running cnc routers and fiber lasers. Controllers like Syntec, Cypcut, Sinumerik.
  • Very good skills in CAD/CAM software like Vcarve Pro, Aspire, Fusion 360, Cabinetry design software, and Autocad.
  • Experience in different types of materials, wood-based boards mfc/mdf/timber, plastic sheets, metal sheets.
  • Experienced in office software like Excel, Word, PDF, Quotations.
  • Ability to “create” anything from the drawings on CNC machines.
  • Ability to accurately price orders per piece, time on machine, overheads.
  • Client outgoing approach. Calls, emails, negotiating.
