Summary
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] LTD is seeking a highly skilled CAD/BIM Technician to join our project delivery team in support of two major residential developments associated with our new Middle East consultancy contract. The role is crucial for delivering Building Information Modelling (BIM) deliverables to LOD 400/500 standards, specifically aligned with regional compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage high-detail BIM models using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, tailored to Middle East project execution standards (LOD 400/500).
- Conduct clash detection exercises and contribute to coordination meetings with internal teams and international consultants.
- Prepare COBie asset data spreadsheets and contribute to structured digital handovers for client asset integration.
- Produce consistent 2D technical drawings extracted from 3D models for architecture, structure, and MEP.
- Ensure model integrity through UIA tagging and Uniclass2 classification, supporting data-driven construction workflows.
- Maintain and update drawing and model registers in compliance with project QA/QC protocols.
- Assist with GIS integration and As-Built CAD deliverables, ensuring geographical and record accuracy.
- Support CAM and 3D printing setup for fabrication and coordination visuals where applicable.
- Attend coordination and BIM handover workshops with project teams, both virtually and in-person where needed.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks in real-world design and documentation projects.
- Sound knowledge of COBie, Uniclass2, and Middle East BIM protocols.
- Familiarity with GIS and As-Built CAD standards, especially in international residential projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work in deadline-driven environments with high attention to detail and collaborative spirit.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in architectural technology, civil engineering, or a relevant field is preferred.
