Summary
Senior Carer required to assist service users with their daily needs, including personal care, medication administration, and mobility support. Responsibilities also include record-keeping, reporting changes in client conditions, and providing leadership to care staff. The role requires experience in specific care procedures and the ability to work in various locations.
- Assist service users with everyday needs.
- Require experience in Peg feeding , stoma bag and Catheter care.
- Perform healthcare related tasks.
- Provide leadership to the care staff.
- Supervise and train new care staff.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Job
- On daily basis you will be required to assist service user with their everyday needs, like in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, wheelchairs, using lifting and transferring techniques,supporting them with daily activities like Washing, Bathing, Dressing/Undressing, Dental Hygiene, Ensuring clients are safe and comfortable on their beds, Using the hoist to mobilize service users, accompanying Clients to the toilet, Assisting clients in the use of the Commode, Emptying of the commode, changing incontinence pads, ensuring clients are comfortable when toileting, ensuring clients are clean after toileting, meals/hydration,supervising clients with meals, preparing light snacks, reheating meals, providing clients with hot/cold drinks, feeding clients that are unable to do so by themselves, prompt or administator medication when instructed to do by the registered manager, domestic services housework, laundry, Ironing, shopping, bed Changing/Making, Accompanying or taking client for appointments and visits. - Require experience in Peg feeding , stoma bag and Catheter care. - Perform healthcare related tasks, such as monitoring any signs deterioration . - Providing essential support to service user, develop effective communication with them, while maintaining their dignity. - Preparing and maintaining records of client’s progress and services performed, also reporting changes in client’s conditions to manager and supervisor - Demonstrating constant respect and privacy for care user, maintaining dignity and data protection - To provide leadership to the care staff within Aegis Care Solutions Ltd - To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager - To supervise and train new care staff within Aegis Care Solutions Ltd in accordance with agreed standards - To maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as may from time-to-time be required to maintain practices as up to date - Conducting monthly meeting. - Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing - To supervise staff and train new staff in filed, ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service - Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service - This position requires working in different areas i.e. Leeds, York and Wakefield
Requirements :
We offer a full in-house induction programme, where you will receive all the training you need through a week long induction programme along with 2 weeks shadowing of an experienced Care Worker. Enhanced DBS Check and 2 Satisfactory References Required. Being a car driver or motorcyclist is essential with your own transport, plus the ability to work evenings and weekends to suit the requirements of our clients.
