Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time employed OT to gain experience working in the independent sector. The role involves working in various clinical settings, including hospitals and/or community settings with the adult client group. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical assessments, caseload management, detailed report writing, and carrying out regular treatment sessions.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide recommendations.
- Manage caseloads effectively and efficiently.
- Detailed report writing, presenting clinical findings, and setting out recommendations.
- Carrying out regular treatment sessions.
- Working effectively within MDT where appropriate.
- Work in a variety of settings including hospital or community based within clients’ own homes.
- Undertake continual professional development activities.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Fully qualified, HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience in hospital and/or community-based settings
- Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
- Competent with computers and online technology
- Excellent written skills.
Introduction
This role is an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time employed OT looking to gain experience working in the independent sector. The role offers the ability to work in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals and/or community settings with the adult client group. We have a number of locations around the UK we are now recruiting for.
This role requires a qualified Occupational Therapist who has experience in functional rehabilitation, equipment provision and housing would be an advantage. Our community-based OT’s will be fully supported by our team of specialist clinical leads and will require the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy. Details of the role
In summary, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following core tasks:
- Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and provide recommendations depending on individual’s needs and in line with your expert knowledge and experience in a variety of settings.
- Manage caseloads effectively and efficiently.
- Detailed report writing, presenting clinical findings, and setting out recommendations to address areas of identified need. This may include therapy sessions, provision of training, monitoring and reviews, equipment provision, referrals to other professionals etc.
- Carrying out regular treatment sessions in accordance with recommendations and tracking progress against goals.
- Working effectively within MDT where appropriate.
- Work in a variety of settings including hospital or community based within clients’ own homes.
- Work across both Clinical Services and Key Accounts division meeting the needs of a variety of referrers.
- Undertake continual professional development activities in line with professional development needs and business needs.
Skills and qualifications
The following skills and qualifications will be required/desirable:
- Fully qualified, HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- Experience in hospital and/or community-based settings
- Experience in private practice is desirable but not essential
- Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
- Competent with computers and online technology
- Excellent written skills.
- Ideally be a member of your professional body.
