FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
My client seeks a highly skilled lawyer to support the trade compliance activities and conduct any investigations for the clients. This role is an exciting role for an experienced lawyer who will be reporting into senior stakeholders of the business including the General Counsel and VP, Compliance. This is a dynamic role which will consist of a range of activites, whereby no day is the same!

Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Investigative support and oversight for the trade team.
- Monitoring existing processes and implementing robust and efficient controls and improvements where required through Trade Compliance Assurance visits and training
- Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Procurement, Channel Partner Team and Finance to address process issues and risks
- Collaboration with Compliance to oversee operational aspects of the Know Your programs
- Drafting and implementation of new processes as needed
- Directing effective targeted and all employee training programmes
- Oversight of day to day and BAU on compliance matters
- Producing reports on any ongoing investigations and subsequent remedial actions
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years experience with experience in trade and export matters (advantage if you have knowledge of US export and sanctions regulations).
- Strong working knowledge of trade compliance assurance and investigative background
- Excellent leadership and individual/team development skills
- Ability to build rapport and robust relationships
