Summary
A leading commercial financial institution is hiring an experienced lawyer (3+ PQE) for their Securities Services team. The role involves providing expert legal advice and support, ensuring senior legal management is kept aware of major issues and legislative changes, with a focus on areas like global custody and middle office services.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the lead lawyer in providing expert legal advice and support across the securities services function, including products under the following categories:
- Global custody
- Middle office services (inc. fund administration, collateral administration etc.)
- Global trustee and fiduciary services
- Providing the wider global markets team with practical and cost-effective legal support and advice
- Ensuring senior legal management is kept fully aware of major issues arising within your expertise and any major legislative changes in area of expertise

Core Requirements
- 4+ PQE
- In-house and/or private practice exposure to the financial services industry, ideally within one or a number of the following:
- Securities
- Prime brokerage
- Issuances
- Treasury (cash management)
- Confident communication skills - in a tight-knit team, it will often be your responsibility to 'hold your ground' with different business stakeholders

The Role
Our client; a leading commercial financial institution, is hiring into their Securities Services team (part of their wider Global Banking & Markets team) for an experienced lawyer (3+ PQE) on a permanent contract.
The Responsibilities
The role will include (but may not be limited to following tasks and responsibilities:
- Supporting the lead lawyer in providing expert legal advice and support across the securities services function, including products under the following categories:
- Global custody
- Middle office services (inc. fund administration, collateral administration etc.)
- Global trustee and fiduciary services
- Providing the wider global markets team with practical and cost-effective legal support and advice
- Ensuring senior legal management is kept fully aware of major issues arising within your expertise and any major legislative changes in area of expertise
