Summary
An experienced and enthusiastic trademark paralegal is needed to join a Leading City Law Firm. This opportunity provides direct access to the leadership team to help with your development and growth. The role involves supporting trademark applications and opposition filings, monitoring trademark progress, providing guidance on opposition matters, drafting agreements, preparing correspondence, conducting IP searches, liaising with registries and attorneys, handling inquiries, and assisting with research.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Supporting the preparation and submission of trademark applications and opposition filings.
- Monitoring the progress of trademarks from filing to registration.
- Providing guidance on trademark opposition matters.
- Drafting assignment agreements and related documentation.
- Preparing standard correspondence for trademark applications and oppositions.
- Conducting intellectual property (IP) searches.
- Liaising with trademark registries and international attorneys.
- Handling telephone inquiries related to trademarks.
- Assisting with intellectual property research.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
- Excellent academics.
- 2+ years of experience as a trademark paralegal.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and adaptability skills.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for expanding knowledge in the field and taking on new and unfamiliar challenges.
- Capable of fostering strong client connections, offering frequent updates and strategic recommendations.
- Willingness to work overtime when the needs of the clients or firms dictate.
