FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
A top tier investment bank is seeking a commercial and customer focused Retail Credit Lawyer at the Vice President level. The role is based in London with a hybrid working pattern, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Managing potential and actual litigation and enforcement matters
- Advising on products and services, including contract negotiation
- Advising on offering and marketing documents and new business initiatives
- Managing dispute resolution
- Interpreting laws, rules and regulations, and advising on changes thereto
- Advising on proposed laws, rules and regulations, and
- Acting as an advisor to the wider business
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
- Qualified lawyer in a common law or civil law jurisdiction with a minimum of 4 years' PQE.
- Experienced with digital retail products, including consumer protections laws and regulations
- Legal and Retail regulatory knowledge
- Proved knowledge on credit products (including overdrafts, personal loans, and credit cards) financial promotion regime and perimeter advice
- Cross-border experience, especially with respect to retail investment products

The Client - is a renowned Top Tier Investment Bank who is looking for a commercial and customer focused lawyer. would be advantageous.
The Role - is based in London with 2/3 days in the office and the rest to work from home.
Typical tasks may include:
- Managing potential and actual litigation and enforcement matters
- Advising on products and services, including contract negotiation
- Advising on offering and marketing documents and new business initiatives
- Managing dispute resolution
- Interpreting laws, rules and regulations, and advising on changes thereto
- Advising on proposed laws, rules and regulations, and
- Acting as an advisor to the wider business
Responsibilities include:
- Product development and client advisory with respect to retail products, including all applicable consumer regulations
- Advisory on regulatory matters
- Advisory on credit products development
- Drafting all client documentation, including general T&Cs, marketing materials, etc.
- Contributing to the oversight of the contents and execution of documents, including communications with respect to complaints, disputes, litigation, etc.
- Liaising with outside counsel
- Providing support to special projects in retail
- Performing legal research on a variety of issues relating to retail matters
- Senior management interactions
You –
- Qualified lawyer in a common law or civil law jurisdiction with a minimum of 4 years' PQE.
