Summary
A Silver Circle Firm is seeking a Real Estate Knowledge Associate for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. The role involves developing materials and assisting with internal training related to the Building Safety Bill and landlord/tenant legislative reform. Responsibilities include preparing precedents, supporting fee earners, and contributing to the real estate and construction education program.
- Develop materials relating to the Building Safety Bill and assist with internal training.
- Develop materials and assist with training on landlord and tenant legislative reform.
- Assist with the planning and organization of the real estate and construction education and training programme.
- Assist with internal education and training at trainee and departmental level.
- Assist fee earners to locate and apply relevant know-how and example precedents.

Real Estate Knowledge Associate - Silver Circle Firm - 6 month FTC
Our Client
Our Client is a Silver Circle Firm looking for a Real Estate Associate to join them as a Knowledge Lawyer.
The Role
- - working alongside the group’s property and construction knowledge lawyers to develop materials relating to the Building Safety Bill and assisting with the ongoing internal training on changes flowing from the Bill. A substantial amount of work has already been done on this so it will be building on what already exists rather than developing entirely new resources; and
- - working alongside the group’s property knowledge lawyer to develop materials and assisting with internal training on changes relating to landlord and tenant legislative reform.
- - assisting with the planning for, and organisation of, the real estate and construction education and training programme; and
- - assisting with internal education and training at trainee and departmental level.
- - assisting fee earners to locate and apply relevant know-how and example precedents; and
- - considering and implementing matters of common departmental interest.
- - preparing new/revising and updating existing standard form precedents and guidance notes; and
- - assisting with the automation of construction precedents.
- - providing cover whilst the property and construction knowledge lawyers are on sabbatical/leave.
Person Specification
- - an associate or barrister with at least three years’ PQE of commercial property or non-contentious construction practice;
- - previous experience as a knowledge lawyer or an interest to transition into this area;
- - previous experience of development work is desirable but not essential;
- - a very good academic record (2:1 degree or better), an interest in academic aspects of law and a sound knowledge of property or construction law;
- - authoritative with a high level of self-motivation and willingness to take the initiative;
- - an ability to produce high quality material under pressure and to work to tight deadlines; and
- - commitment to providing expert technical legal support in a practical context to fee earners at all levels.
