Summary
The Global Leisure Brand is seeking an experienced data privacy lawyer to support its EMEA region. The role involves collaborating with legal, product, and engineering teams on cutting-edge privacy issues, including GDPR compliance, international data transfers, and product development. Candidates need significant data privacy experience within a large technology company and a UK or EU jurisdiction qualification.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Go to Lead Privacy Expert within EMEA
- Collaborate with legal colleagues responsible for strategy around our interactions with European data protection authorities to ensure that regulatory requirements are properly incorporated into product development.
- Assist product lawyers, product managers, and engineers, in evaluating the impact of privacy laws, regulatory guidance and enforcement actions, and other related guidelines on product features;
- Provide support on a wide variety of privacy issues as needed such as DPIAs, international data transfers, marketing-related privacy issues such as consent requirements and cookie compliance.
- Help draft and oversee the development and management of Airbnb’s terms and data policies
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- Significant experience in data privacy within a large technology company
- A minimum of 8+PQE with experience
- Qualified in the UK or at one EU jurisdiction.

Role:
