Summary

The Client
I am working exclusively with a recognized Sports related Entertainment Company that is involved in high profiled commercial matter.
This role will allow you to work on "big ticket items" where you can see the projects spanning across media buying, filming production, sponsorship agreements (Celebrity endorsements including Anthony Joshua, Jermaine Jenas and Robbie Savage) and many more.
You will work across a range of projects including Marketing, Technology and Media.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer who is either in private practice or in-house who would love to work in a dynamic industry but is looking for that opportunity to showcase their abilities. The ideal candidate will be between 1-3PQE (happy to consider NQ dependent on candidate's experience).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial lawyer (it is not essential to have media/sports experience, however a plus if you do).
The Responsibilities
Supporting the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel within the Commercial team and the wider legal and commercial team with all legal, contractual and compliance matters, particularly:
- Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts, including agreements for the supply of services and/or goods, sponsorship (including with our celebrity ambassadors and partners), marketing, filming production, media buying, IT (including software licensing and development), data and content supply and other commercial partnership agreements;
- Drafting, reviewing and updating customer facing terms and conditions across the Group’s consumer facing websites and apps;
- Providing legal advice in respect of consumer and data protection regulation to relevant stakeholders and working with the Privacy and Compliance teams where required;
- Working with the Marketing Compliance team to ensure compliance with ASA guidance and codes, including reviewing and advising on marketing promotions and advertisements, scripts and legal lines;
- Maintaining an up to date IP register, advising on IP infringement risks, responding to IP infringement disputes and supporting the business with trade mark and domain name registration requests (with the support of external counsel);
- Providing legal training to parts of the business where appropriate and assisting with the development and maintenance of the team’s precedents and standard forms.
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will have some (if not all) of the following characteristics and skills:
- E&W Qualified (NQ-3PQE).
- Commercial contracts experience
- A self-starter attitude, excellent presentation and communication techniques
