FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
Corporate Counsel role within a global media group. The candidate will be reporting to the GC. The role involves advising on legal aspects of new investments, drafting and reviewing contracts, managing litigation, and advising on commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years PQE in a recognized firm.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Advising on the legal aspects of new investments and acquisitions;
- Advising on the legal aspects of internal corporate reorganizations and restructurings of existing investments and relationships with third parties;
- Drafting and reviewing employment agreements and other contracts in relation to senior executive remuneration;
- Managing litigation and pre litigation matters, working with the General Counsel and external advisors;
- Managing the negotiation of commercial agreements (leases, IT deals etc.)
- Reviewing and drafting distribution agreements in relation to Group content;
- Advising General Counsel and senior executive team (including CFO, CEO and COO) in relation to key legal issues affecting the Group, including commercial and corporate relationships with third parties and internal stakeholders;
- Reviewing corporate governance policies and procedures;
- Research and drafting of notes of advice in relation to regulatory regimes that may impact the Group both in the UK and internationally;
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- At least 3-5 years PQE in the corporate department of a recognised firm.
- At least two years’ experience of running mid-sized corporate M&A and investment transactions
- Excellent drafting skills on a wide variety of contracts

I am working exclusively with my client who is a respected Media group and works globally recognised companies within the Media industry. They will be reporting directly into the GC. You will be an important member of a close-knit team that invest in personal growth.
The Corporate Counsel must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
