Summary
A major international technology platform is seeking a Commercial Counsel with experience in the tech and data privacy industry to assist them with maternity cover for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role requires a qualified lawyer with 2-6 years PQE to work on commercial deals.
Key Responsibilities/Duties include advising, reviewing and negotiating on all commercial agreements, NDAs, terms of use, and T&Cs; providing advice and support on procurement and large customer-facing contracts and providing good knowledge of data protection, competition law and IP advice for goods/ services agreements.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills include being a qualified lawyer, overseas or England and Wales, based in London or Cardiff; previous experience drafting a variety of contracts including complex vendor agreements, technical agreements, procurement contracts, NDAs, and other types of contracts; and experience in Tech and/or Data Privacy Commercial law.
Commercial Lawyer - International Tech Company - 12 Month FTC
The Client
Our client, a major international technology platform, is looking to hire a Commercial Counsel with preferable experience in the tech and data privacy industry to assist them with a maternity cover initially.
The role would be suitable for an England and Wales or overseas qualified Lawyer with 2-6 years PQE, who is available to work on a 12-month FTC basis, initially. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading Tech Platform on Commercial deals.
The Role
The successful candidates work will include (but not be limited to):
- Advising, reviewing and negotiating on all commercial agreements, NDAs, terms of use, and T&Cs.
- Providing advice and support on procurement and large customer-facing contracts
- Good knowledge of data protection, competition law and IP advice for goods/ services agreements
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will have some (if not all) of the following characteristics and skills:
- Qualified Lawyer, overseas or England and Wales, based in London or Cardiff
- Other European language skills (C2 / C1 level preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience drafting a variety of contracts including complex vendor agreements, technical agreements, procurement contracts, NDAs, and other types of contracts
- Experience in Tech and/or Data Privacy Commercial law.
- Excellent communication skills
- A self-starter attitude, combined with the ability to exercise independent judgement and critical thinking while working in a collaborative, team environment
