The Role
I am working exclusively with one of the biggest media groups in the world on a new and exciting role! My client is looking to add an exciting team member who is able to support on a range of areas including commercial. This is a brand new headcount and will work closely with the Associate General Counsel and acting as their No.2.
You will be supporting the group on a range of commercial and exciting projects including supporting the growth of their technology brand and influencer marketing business. As such if you have an appetite to work on a range of projects across the group, we want to hear from you.
This role would be fantastic for a 3-5PQE lawyer who is looking into step into a varied role and enjoy a range of work as well act independently and help supervise junior members of the team.
The Responsibilities
- Providing general commercial and contracting advice (client and vendor) to businesses and in particular (influencer marketing) and (technology consultancy) brands.
- Working on large scale media client contracts and vendor contracts with the likes of Meta, TikTok and Google.
- Development of contract templates that can be utilised across the business.
- Assisting the Senior Legal Counsel with internal investigations, tracking investigations and monitoring trends in allegations, identifying underlying risks/issues and identifying appropriate mitigations.
- Working with external counsel and other consultants as required.
- Working on ad hoc legal commercial and risk mitigation projects.
- Supervising junior members of the legal team (trainee and paralegals).
The Requirements
- 2-5PQE years post qualification experience
- Commercial contracts experience
- Excellent interviewing skills, including the ability to engage with employees and external parties to elicit necessary information, a sensitivity to different cultural attitudes and the ability to cut through misinformation to focus on the essential facts.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage fast-paced workload, work independently and escalate issues as appropriate.
- A collaborative team player and relationship builder with a can-do attitude, lots of energy and drive.
