Summary

A top-tier City Law Firm is seeking a non-contentious Construction Associate for a 6-month Fixed Term Contract in London. The role involves preparing documentation, conducting legal research, assisting in articles, and client liaison. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years' PQE of non-contentious construction experience.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Clear, concise and unambiguous preparation and drafting of relevant documentation
  • Conducting legal research using internal and external knowledge management resources
  • Assisting in the preparation of legal articles
  • Liaison with clients under the supervision of a partner
  • Developing own informal internal and external network of contacts
  • Building excellent working relationships with clients and peers.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • The right candidate will have 4-6 years' PQE level of construction experience (non-contentious)
  • A solid understanding of fundamental construction law
  • Ambition to build and grow a network of clients within professional services
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and a confident manner in engaging with clients and colleagues
  • A strong team work ethic and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Drive, commitment, self-motivation and a "can do" attitude
  • The ability to exercise discretion and professionalism at all times
  • Exceptional attention to detail

This will be for an initial 6-month FTC, but there is a realistic possibility of the right candidate being offered a permanent position.
