Summary
Provide credible and trustworthy guidance on which the business can rely in evaluating the risks involved in their strategic and tactical efforts. This role requires identifying legal issues, conducting research, analysing the law, preparing and presenting advice, anticipating and mitigating legal risk, and responding to inquiries. Prepare and review drafts and final copies of customer and supplier contracts, negotiate commercial transactions, perform initial customer dispute resolution and work with the business to resolve and disputes.
- Identify legal issues, conduct research, analyse the law and prepare and present verbal and written advice to internal clients regarding multiple issues, which may require developing skills in specified areas of expertise;
- Prepare and review drafts and final copies of customer and supplier contracts;
- Negotiate commercial transactions with customers and supplier contracts;
- Perform initial customer dispute resolution and work with the business to resolve and disputes in a timely fashion;
- Qualified lawyer in Spain and/or England and Wales.
- Superior technical legal and drafting skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Accountabilities
Provide credible and trustworthy guidance on which the business can rely in evaluating the risks involved in their strategic and tactical efforts, requiring counsel to:
- Identify legal issues, conduct research, analyse the law and prepare and present verbal and written advice to internal clients regarding multiple issues, which may require developing skills in specified areas of expertise;
- Anticipate, identify and develop strategies to mitigate legal risk and to avoid litigation and other potential legal problems within the data and insurance environment; and,
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities, customers and the wider sales, product and business community.
Provide world-class customer experience to both our internal and external customers, requiring counsel to:
- Prepare and review drafts and final copies of customer and supplier contracts;
- Negotiate commercial transactions with customers and supplier contracts;
- Perform initial customer dispute resolution and work with the business to resolve and disputes in a timely fashion;
- Support and develop the business growth strategy through continuous personal development and light travel, as required.
Qualifications
- Qualified lawyer in Spain and/or England and Wales.
- Superior technical legal and drafting skills required.
- Proven background of relevant post qualification experience in private practice or in-house legal department experience preferred.
- Comfortable in supporting business teams remotely located in various locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective negotiator.
