Summary
The client, a global technology services company, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team on a 6-month fixed term contract. The role is hybrid, based in London, and involves handling commercial contracts, including procurement contracts, and negotiation with suppliers. The ideal candidate will be English qualified with 5-10 years' PQE, excellent legal and soft skills, and solid experience in commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Supporting Procurement with reviewing and finalising procurement contracts (NDAs, consultancy appointments, standard terms & conditions, security services, maintenance services, major equipment contracts, software platform procurement contracts, leases, novation agreements, etc).
- Developing and updating templates.
- Negotiating with suppliers, etc.
- Ensuring that all agreements are commercially and legally sound.
Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- English qualified;
- 5-10 years’ PQE;
- Fluent English;
- Adaptable, enthusiastic, self-starter;
- Excellent legal and soft skills (drafting, negotiation, analytical, communication, interpersonal, commercial acumen, etc);
- Solid commercial contracts experience.

They help clients to develop and execute their innovation roadmap by using new and emerging technology to disrupt existing business models and achieve business outcomes faster. They deliver global platforms and services to 11,000 clients across 200 countries.
They are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team initially on a 6-month fixed term contract (with a possibility of this being extended).

The Role –
is hybrid however on occasion you may be required to attend their London office. You, the Senior Legal Counsel will be joining the legal team dealing with commercial contracts.
Typical tasks may include:
- Supporting Procurement with reviewing and finalising procurement contracts (NDAs, consultancy appointments, standard terms & conditions, security services, maintenance services, major equipment contracts, software platform procurement contracts, leases, novation agreements, etc).
- Developing and updating templates.
- Negotiating with suppliers, etc.
- Ensuring that all agreements are commercially and legally sound.
You –
- English qualified;
- 5-10 years’ PQE;
- Fluent English;
- Adaptable, enthusiastic, self-starter;
- Excellent legal and soft skills (drafting, negotiation, analytical, communication, interpersonal, commercial acumen, etc);
- Solid commercial contracts experience.
- Preferred but not essential:
- Relevant in-house experience at a global company;
- Any experience or knowledge of construction;
- Any real estate experience;
- German language skills;
- Data centre experience; and
- German legal qualifications.
