Summary

A prestigious International Law Firm is seeking a Property litigation paralegal to join their team in Birmingham for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves assisting with drafting legal documents, managing cases, negotiating settlements, and handling client queries.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Assisting with drafting of relevant legal documents such as Notices or Letters before Action;
  • Progressing and managing cases that proceed to trial by complying with Court directions such as disclosure and instructing Counsel;
  • Negotiating settlements with opposing parties;
  • Managing defended housing disrepair claims;
  • Obtaining client instructions alongside dealing with client queries;
  • Liaising generally with the Courts and Tribunals.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Previous property litigation and house disrepair experience (preferably 12 months experience);
  • Strong academics;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Strong communication skills.
