Summary
The role is for a junior commercial contracts lawyer to join the financial services and regulation division as a Legal Counsel on a permanent contract. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, advising on regulatory aspects of financial services law, and working across various areas of the business. The successful candidate will have relevant in-house commercial contracts experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiating contracts with customers and suppliers, as part of a team
- Advising on regulatory aspects of law relating to financial services, including but not limited to insurance, credit hire and consumer credit.
- Getting involved in wider commercial issues where the business requires it.
- Working across all areas of the business, ensuring a varied workload and rounded experience.
- Being a team player, building relationships with other team members and internal clients within the business.
- Finding creative ways of training the team and the business.

Core Requirements/Qualifications/Skills
- NQ - 3PQE England & Wales qualified lawyer with relevant in-house commercial contracts experience
- If NQ, the successful candidate will have completed an in-house secondment during their training contract
- Experience from another large corporation, ideally
- Strong communication skills

The Role
Our client; a household name in the automotive industry, is looking to hire a junior commercial contracts lawyer to join their financial services and regulation division as a Legal Counsel on a permanent contract.
