Summary
The role is for an experienced lawyer (5+ PQE) on a permanent contract within the Structured Products and Derivatives team. Responsibilities include establishing and updating structured products programmes, securitised and OTC derivatives, structured repo and securities lending arrangements, driving process and efficiency improvements, and minimising legal and regulatory risk.
- Establishing and updating on and off balance sheet structured products programmes
- Securitised and OTC derivatives
- Structured repo and securities lending arrangements;
- Driving process, documentation, and efficiency improvements across the team, along with; document negotiation, structuring and legal, regulatory and implementation issue identification
- Minimising legal and regulatory risk by keeping up to date with regulatory issues and tendencies, as well as their impact on the business
The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and requirements:
- 5+ PQE (England & Wales or Commonwealth) from a highly regarded law firm or financial institution
- Relevant experience across derivatives and structured products, with a desire to work in-house for a leading financial institution
- Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
The Role
Our client; a prestigious multinational financial institution, is hiring into their Structured Products and Derivatives team for an experienced lawyer (5+ PQE) on a permanent contract.
The Responsibilities
The role will include (but may not be limited to following tasks and responsibilities:
- Establishing and updating on and off balance sheet structured products programmes
- Securitised and OTC derivatives
- Structured repo and securities lending arrangements;
- Driving process, documentation, and efficiency improvements across the team, along with; document negotiation, structuring and legal, regulatory and implementation issue identification
- Minimising legal and regulatory risk by keeping up to date with regulatory issues and tendencies, as well as their impact on the business
The Requirements
