FULL DESCRIPTION
Summary
To be the first port of call for all HR advice and support, including employee relations, recruitment and absence management, for managers and employees.
You will be responsible for ensuring all advice is in line with Grace Eyre’s policies and procedures ensuring best practice is followed which will be up to date with employment legislation.
To provide a high-quality HR service to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide advice and support to managers and colleagues on general HR queries
- To support managers through employee relations case work adhering to appropriate policies and procedures and managed in line with employment legislation
- To attend case work investigations and disciplinary hearings as both HR support and note taker
- To support and advise managers on sickness absence management, including the generation of the sickness reports and attending meetings when appropriate
- To support the HR Manager with organisational change, producing documentation and employee correspondence
- To advise managers on recruitment and selection strategies including attracting relevant applicants, interview techniques and job descriptions
- To assist with management and policy training including content and delivery
- To support the HR Manager with monitoring, reviewing and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with current employment legislation.
- To advise on and coordinate employee health and wellbeing initiatives
- Pull and analyse any regular HR reporting as directed by the HR Manager or Executive Team
- To carry out any other appropriate tasks and duties as delegated by the HR Manager

- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written and the ability to communication effectively at all levels
- Practical and able to problem solve
- Ability to manage a busy work load, prioritising as the business requires
- Ability to work with a wide range of people in a calm and supportive manner
- Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
- Be confident and resilient
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office – excel, word, PowerPoint
- Experience of working with HR software
- Excellent knowledge of and understanding of employment legislation and best practice
- Previous experience of working in an HR generalist advisory role especially with disciplinary, sickness absence and capability

Qualifications/ Education
• CIPD in Human Resource Management qualification (or working Essential
towards) or other relevant qualification.
